This file gives information on the distribution of WhatIs on BBS
systems. It is intended for BBS sysops.
You have our permission to upload WhatIs to BBS systems. However you
may not upload registered versions. To check if the version you have is
shareware simply run WhatIs with the /h switch, like this:
C:\> whatis /h
The shareware version has the words "Unregistered Copy" near the top of
its help message.
Before placing WhatIs in any shareware library which distributes disks
for a fee, you must meet our requirements (see Vendor.Doc). This does
not affect your permission to put WhatIs on your BBS, providing you do
not charge a fee for downloading it (other than general fees for the use
of your board).
If you want a copy of WhatIs directly from us write and ask. Please say
if you would prefer a 5.25" or a 3.5" disk. We will send it to you for
no charge.
Please contact us if you have any questions or comments on WhatIs. Our
address is:
Computer Bakery,
PO Box 5,
